Not only the coastal residents of Hai Phong but also visitors from all over eagerly come here to participate in the festival commemorating and honoring the great contributions of General Le Chan, a woman of courage who founded the Hai Tan defense garrison, the predecessor of today's vibrant Hai Phong city.
This is one of the largest festivals in Hai Phong, including both a procession and a blessing ceremony that is not held on every occasion, with the participation of more than 1,000 local people.
